Andrew J Thompson was admitted to practice law in Indiana in 1990. After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Indiana University in 1984, Mr. Thompson passed the Uniform Certified Public Accounting examination and worked as an International Tax Advisor with KPMG Peat Marwick prior to returning to pursuing his law degree.
Mr. Thompson graduated from the College of Law at the University of Illinoisin 1990 and passed the Indiana State Bar examination that same year.
Mr. Thompson has experience in taxation, business law, estate planning, creditor and debtor law, real estate, civil trials, criminal defense, appeals, and all areas of family law, including adoptions, divorce, custody and child support, as well as paternity, guardianship and probate matters.
He is committed to helping emerging and family owned businesses, , and families with wealth management and other asset protection needs.
Mr. Thompson has also worked as a Private Client Wealth Advisor, and as Director of Legal, Estate and Asset Services for the American Cancer Society, served as the Executive Director of the American Foundation for Clinical Pharmacology, and founded the private, consulting firm, Elusen LLC, providing capital acquisition, search marketing, litigation support and other services for emerging businesses and private and family foundations.
Mr. Thomspon also taught as an adjunct professor of Business Law for Indiana Wesleyan University from 1992-1995. He has served as a volunteer board member for Big Brothers-Big Sisters, the Entrepreneurial Development Council of the RTP, and presently serves on the Board of the Autism Society of Indiana, and the Small Enterprise Loan Fund program for emerging businesses in Hamilton County, IN.
